Frequently Asked Questions
We provide bedding, blankets, food, bowls, and toys. If your dog is on medication, bring in the original container with doctor prescribed instructions. If your dogs need food other than the House provided for the stay it will be a $5 per day charge.
With the all inclusive price of boarding, the owner provided food is out of our regulation with the control of all dogs eating the same meals, this allows for error in the preparation and distribution of food.
Rabies - Required by law to prevent the fatal disease
Distemper- viral disease attacks the respiratory, gastrointestinal and nervous systems
Bordetella- Prevents for Kennel Cough, the respiratory infection that causes a persistent hacking cough
All dogs must be current on ALL vaccines 14 days prior to boarding stay to not be sensitive to sickness
Standard: 3x4, Ventilated sides, stainless steel doors, personal food bowls, bed,
Luxury: 7x6, Astro turf flooring, raised personal feeding station, raised cot, bed, themed room mural, camera access available
Standard suites are available for small dogs up to 25 pounds and large dogs are big as 90lbs
ANY pups over 1 year old are REQUIRED to be altered to play in group play. For boarding, it is NOT required although your pup may not be allowed to play in the daycare group.
Although we do not have staff onsite overnight for our employees to be able to best serve our pups, we do monitor all dogs through our camera system.
Boarding is a daily rate that will be charged for the total amount of days that your dog stays with us. This includes the drop-off and pickup day. Any times in between our open hours Mon-Fri of 7am-5:45pm or on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm are available for drop offs and pickups
For the safety of our staff and the pups we do have a limited number of dogs in the facility to be able to safely manage the play space and properly house all dogs. For this reason we do require reservations to be made and approved prior to a DC or boarding stay, it is up to the staff's discretion to allow walk-in daycare at a first come first serve basis availability.
We do administer medications in pill, capsule or topical form but we do restrict injectable medications, such as insulin. There will be a daily charge of $5 for medication administration
For regular house food we offer Victor Performance which includes chicken, beef and pork proteins. Allergy House food is Victor Ocean Fish which is great for a pup who has a poultry allergy
To view your pup in the daycare play spaces open the Gingr app and select view and then choose webcams. Luxury Suite webcams are included with your reservation; and will be given access upon check in. Cameras can be added to standard stays for an additional $2.00 daily fee.

Pups are allotted an hour of kennel time for both breakfast and dinner to reduce the chance of bloat and other health issues. Boarding pups will spend the overnight time in a kennel never to be more than 12 hours, while closely monitored via inhouse security system by our staff.
Upon check in you will be asked to pay a deposit towards the estimate of your boarding stay. All prices will be final at checkout.
Your pup will spend their day involved in a variety of activities. Being part of our daycare pack means they will get to spend time with other dogs, alone time with handlers and also breaks in between to avoid overstimulation.
To join, click the Register button on the home page, create an account for you and your pup to help us get to know you, sign the agreement form, and upload proof of vaccination. Once you and your pup have joined, make a reservation for the service you request through the Gingr app. Once a staff member has viewed your account and verified all information you will receive a confirmation.
To make a reservation for daycare we require an account for you and your pup through joining the pack on our website, up to date Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper vaccines and a signed agreement form.
Happy Dog Resort mission is to make every dog a Happy Dog. With that goal in mind we incorporate enriching play, arts and crafts, training time, and mental play into our days here. To properly assess our future pack members ALL pups are REQUIRED to have a behavioral assessment prior to Daycare or a Boarding for staff to evaluate if we are the best fit for your pup. The assessment evaluates your dog's personality characteristics, play styles and reactions to a variety of dog temperaments with and without play.

For whatever reason we needed to shutdown daycare you would be contacted via email as well as a Facebook post. In the event of a severe hurricane daycare would be closed and all boarding pets would be evacuated in the event that the facility was in the destruction zone.
If a pup is not picked up prior to 5:45pm M-F or by 3pm on Saturdays they will be boarded overnight and charged accordingly. Please contact as soon as possible for adjustments to standing reservations.
